Reyhaneh Bakhtiari
Reyhaneh is an international acclaimed oil painting artist. she was born in Tehran, Iran and showed artistic talent at young age. She went to England when she was 19, where she attended the Swindon College, University of London, and continued studying. In 1997, she received The Fourth International Female Artists Diploma of Excellence from Stockholm, Sweden.Since then, she has participated in more than thirty oil painting exhibitions throughout Europe, China, Iran, Canada and the United States.Reyhaneh lives in North Vancouver, Canada, where she continues to paint, teach and play an active role in the community. She sits on the Board of the North Vancouver Community Arts Council and is active with the Heritage Museum, a map created by Reyhaneh, in association with Canadian Artists.She also strives to be part of the whole community and the artistic community on the North Shore. Involvement includes being a Jury member of the Lonsdale Banner Competition, winner of the Evergreen Mosquito Creek Sign Project (City of North Vancouver), winner of the Art Rental A ward (NSCAC 2004).During the Vancouver 2010 winter Olympics, Reyhaneh’s winter Sports oil painting was displayed at North Vancouver’s City Hall and Centennial Theatre.Reyhaneh’s oil painting reflect her subjects, embellishing her love for nature, beauty, culture, architecture and history. Yet often there is an undertone of artistic, purpose or mystical illusion.
